Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  The Lyric will perform Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the Tivoli Theatre in Aberdeen from 8-11 June.  The  central characters in the show are Bernadette, a former drag performer together with Adam/Felicia and Tick/Mitzi who are current drag performers.  The show, as well as featuring some epic musical numbers, tackles some hugely important issues such as friendship, self-identity, homophobia and relationships.  Our  leads will be performing in numerous costumes throughout the show which will require them to show off their luscious legs - the problem is, right now they are far from luscious!  The guys have agreed to have them waxed and we thought it would be very fitting to try and raise awareness and funds for our local LGBTQ+ charity in Aberdeen.  Photos and videos will be displayed after the event on our Facebook page - and of course you can come and see the finished result on stage!

Huge thanks has to go to Embrace Hair and Beauty and Eilidh Beaton there who will be providing the torture, ehm, we mean waxing services for us!
