We grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Story

For two years, Sarah has done the Race for Life.  This year we wanted a harder challenge and to do something together.  After much discussion we have decided to take on a sponsored walk.  But from where to where?

Given Paul's job and the fact that the pair of us spend so much time on it, we have chosen to walk the original M1 (London to Rugby) which was around a hundred miles.  Obviously the hard shoulder of the M1 is far too dangerous, not to mention illegal (!) but the Grand Union Canal runs a similar route which will be far safer, and is in effect the “Original original M1”.

We plan to do this walk over four days, equating to a marathon each day. So, during the October half term (21st-24th) the children and the dog are being looked after by Nanny and we are walking from the Midlands to London.
