We support Zambian children to go to school to help break the cycle of poverty.

Story

We did 30miler, we did DofE, some of us even went as far as caving with Nr Nuttal. Now its time to take the philosophy of masochism to new heights. We will attempt to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales back-to- back in 24hours.

The team consists of:
- Simon Spencer Jones -famed for his mountaineering experience and on whom we will rely for important judgements such as right or left, mars or snickers, dead or asleep..
- Nicky Spencer Jones
- Veronica Oakeshott
- Veronica's boyfriend Marc who will be driving and ducking and diving the speed cameras
- Anstice Oakeshott
- Richard Sederman
- Andrew Sederman
Why this madness? Well apart from the fact that it has been ingrained in us from an early age... The team will be raising money for Cecily's Fund, the charity set up in memory of Anstice and Veronica's cousin Cecily who died on her gap year in Zambia. All Cecily's Fund's admin costs are paid for so every penny you donate will be spent on helping Zambian AIDS orphans to go to school. £15 will pay for an orphan to go to primary school for a year and £30 for secondary school. Please sponsor us online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cecily's Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support and we'll let you know how it goes! Since 1998 Cecily's Fund has transformed the lives of thousands of the most vulnerable children in Zambia by enabling them to go to school. Education gives them a ladder out of the destitution to which they are otherwise condemned. Tragically Cecily died there in her gap year. This is her legacy.
