We provide family-led care and support to children with life-limiting conditions

Story

Hi All

During the summer Wigan Athletic legend Andy Liddell and his wife Charlotte had their first child Giorgina Grace Liddell.  Sadly, baby Giorgina was born with the condition gastroschisis.  This condition could not be treated and on 16th June 2009 aged just 11 days old, Giorgina Grace Liddell sadly passed away.

During her short life, Giorgina was cared for at Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People in Leeds.  The hospice provide support for very poorly and terminally ill children and their families.  Andy Liddell himself is raising money to help the hospice who desparately need money to continue to provide the level of support they do.

On the 8th Sept 2009 I will be standing on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar square as part of Anthony Gormley art project One and Other , "1 person for 1 hour for 100 days ".  I will be using this opportunity by raising money and awareness for Martin House Hospice and Derian House Hospice ( to donate to Derian House please visit  http://www.justgiving.com/Magsfourthplinth1 I had to set up seperate pages ) and as a way of doing my bit for a fantastic footballer who brought so many happy times to me as a Wigan fan, yet he and his family has endured what no parent should ever have to.

Please please donate whatever you can to the cause.  I will be releasing helium filled balloons from the plinth during my hour and if anyone who does pledge money would like to add a message to a balloon they can do.  I will be wearing a Wigan Athletic shirt with the name Giorgina Liddell and her dad's legendary number 7 on the back as a mark of respect for the family.
Anything that you can donate is greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read my page.

Thanks
Mags Sanders
