Welcome to Andrew's fundraising page!
I will be running the Flora London Marathon on 26 April 2009 for Cancer Research UK. The work of this charity is close to my heart, having seen several members of my family, including my dad in 2005, lose battles with the disease.
To surpass my 2007 banana costume, I plan to run with a colleague in a massive Stay Puft marshmallow man outfit from the 1980's film, Ghostbusters. We will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the world's tallest costume to complete a marathon, which currently stands at 14 feet (our costume design is well under way, and looking to be around 17 feet).
Your donations are desperately needed, now more than ever, to help scientists continue their research into the prevention and treatment of cancer. Around 285,000 new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year in the UK. Cancer Research UK are working hard to improve our understanding of cancer and develop better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease.
To keep up-to-date with the training and costume progress, I have a blog which will be updated daily. Just follow this link:

Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated, no matter how small it may be - and please use Gift Aid if you can - if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
If you would rather donate towards my running partner's charity, Heart UK, please follow this link:

According to several people, the Justgiving site is prone to crashing when trying to make a payment - please try again if this happens.
Thanks for visiting.
