Story

Dear all,

Having crossed the finish line on Saturday 17th July, we would like to thanks you all so much for your overwhelming support and generosity. For all the stories and details of the trip please see our blog: http://malo-to-tropez.blogspot.com/

Thank you again.

In case you were wondering why the total has just shot up,we were fortunate enough to have been given an extraordinarily generous £10,000 donation from the Thornton trust, for which we, and jacksplace, are extremely grateful.

************************************************************************

This summer Jamie Chaplin-Rogers, Humphrey Kelly, Barney Muir, Archie Nelson and Tom White will be attempting to bike from jacksplace children's hospice (Winchester) to the port of St. Tropez in the south of France. We will be doing this to raise sponsorship money for the hospice (a branch of Naomi House) which provides support for teenagers our age with life-limiting conditions. Jacksplace  is a new hospice, built to provide the elder visitors a separate place to enjoy themselves rather than be with the young all the time. It allows the privacy, independence and dignity that is so important to all teenagers.

For more information please visit their website:

In total the bike ride should be around 800 miles long, lasting around 10 days. We will be trying to ride around 40-50 miles in the first few days, then around 100 miles per day towards the end. The route set takes us through mountain ranges, busy towns and remote tracks, all in the heat of French summer sun. We are sure to face many exciting adventures and difficulties, making the trip a huge challenge which we will keep you up to date with on our blog (see below.) We will be staying in camp sites and youth hostels along the way, keeping cost to a minimum and will be supported by Hector Freyne and Tom Nelson in a back-up vehicle.

Please find our Blog below, even a small donation will go a long way in supporting the incredible work of Jack's Place, Naomi House.

Thank you.
