March on Melanoma.

On Wednesday 24th March 2010, students and staff from The College Ystrad Mynach, walked from The College to Blackwood and back - a round trip of some 10 miles - in the pouring rain (Well, it is Wales!) to raise awareness of melanoma and other skin cancers and to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our total displayed so far combines what we have raised here on this page, sponsorship raised by the students of S block and money donated into our buckets during the walk.

MASSIVE THANKS to EVERYONE who walked, sponsored us and gave money to our page and in our green buckets as we battled through the rain.

Finally, WELL DONE to all the students who walked the walk. Myself and all the lecturers at college are VERY proud of you, you have achieved an amazing thing and the money raised will go to help so many people who need it, you should be so very pleased with your hard work and determination!
