Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page... On the 20th of this month (yes that is next week) I will be taking part in a 59 mile bike ride from London to Southend. I will be raising money for, and more importantly awareness of a charity that is very close to my heart: The Robert Levy Foundation. On 16th September 2004 my girlfriends 16 year old cousin was killed whilst trying to protect a younger child from a youth bearing a knife. Also in 2004 my brother was shot and killed on the 31st December. So you can appreciate my passion in trying to help mend 'broken Britain'. The Robert Levy foundation is trying to support the Government in it's efforts to combat street violence by providing a support network for youths with mentoring schemes, apprenticeships, activities and more. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me. The Robert Levy Foundation gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me! Any support is welcome, even if it's a moment in your thoughts or a prayer that I see the finish line! Its time to make a stand against the youth's who are terrorising our streets!! (visit robertlevyfoundation.org for more info about the foundation)

About the charity

The Robert Levy Foundation was set up in remembrance of Robert Levy who lost his life whilst trying to save a young child being threatened with a knife. The aim is to highlight & address the issues surrounding knife crime. Through events & work within the community young people can be encouraged to find appropriate ways to become better citizens. Thus preventing further loss of life.
