Story
As many of you know Maree has had treatment for Breast Cancer since June 2008. Maree found a lump whilst running with a mate who was training for the marathon this time last year. She eventually!!! took herself off to the doctors and was referred to the Western General, three areas of cancerous tumours were found. Although it was a shock the treatment from the Western through masectomy, chemotherpay, radiotherapy, and now Herceptin and hormone treatment has been first class. Maree has not allowed it to affect her life and has fitted in the visits to Doctors, Hospital etc with picking David and Emma up, visits to the gym, running and work.
We did it. It was a fantastic day. Thanks to all those who came to support us today.
It was hot and thirsty work but we had great fun and all met at the finish for a picnic party and well deserved massages!!
We have had such an amazing response from you all for our fundraisung and we appreciate it so much. We are all inspired to do more running and more fund raising but perhaps on a lareger scale (the running) and a smaller scale (the fund raising)
It has been a great experience and a brilliant way to end what has been a pretty difficult year. Once again. Thanks from us all.
