Story
Hey everyone!, thank you so much for visiting my page!.
I am running the Carlilse 10k race on 29 August in aid of The Great North Air Ambulance and in honour of the beautiful people we lost, their families and friends, the survivors and our courageous emergency services. So Jennifer, James, Susan, Gary, Jamie, Darren, David, Kevin, Jane, Mike, Kenny and Isaac 'Spike' Dixon this is for you.
I saw hell on earth that day, i saw a family friend shot at point blank range whilst my four year old daughter held my hand. I saw pure, unadulterated fear on grown mens faces, I saw life extinguised in seconds...but i also saw immense compassion and bravery. I witnessed dignity in the actions and voices of victims families.
The initial reaction of a minority was to speak to the media wearing t-shirts emblazoned with their business name and logo. The reaction of many was simply to help, listen much and say little, if it wasn't for The Great North Air Ambulance quite simply many more lives would have been lost that terrible day.
The Great North Air Ambulance is a life saving service that costs £3.5 million a year to run. It relies SOLELY on PUBLIC DONATIONS and receives no government or lottery funding. They are currently running a campaign to raise funds for new and updated helicopters, but with your help they can achieve this!.
I don't mind if it is 50p or £50 anything is appreciated greatly! please help! If anyone wants to join me feel free, the more people to help the better.
Thank you, Marie
