I am running the Hampton Court Half Marathon in memory of my adopted little sister Erica.  Erica passed away in November 2016, aged ten, following a long battle with cancer. She was a special child, wise beyond her years, with an excellent sense of humour.  In her short life, Erica impacted the lives of her family, her school mates and the world at large. She is sorely missed; her tenacity and grace in the face of adversity have encouraged me to live my best life with a smile on my face :0)

Macmillan has been chosen as our nominated charity as they provided invaluable support to Erica and her family when they needed it most. Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist.
