I am running the Silverstone half marathon in memory of our incredible Uncle Keith who passed away this August after an extremely short battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Pancreatic cancer doesn't show any symptoms in the early stages. Due to the position of the pancreas, problems can be masked on scans and mild symptoms masked by simple things. Symptoms and a diagnosis normally come when the cancer is so advanced that it is inoperable. Sadly, at this stage, prognosis is often terminal; that Uncle Keith was diagnosed and was gone within days. He had no knowledge that he had pancreatic cancer until that week.
If you can support this cause in anyway, then please do so. We all know people affected by cancer and this one is particularly silent and aggressive.
