I have now completed the sponsored swim in aid of Headway Portsmouth and South East Hants, a charity that supports people who have acquired brain injury.
Headway supported me and my family during the first difficult months and years following my accident. Headway is still there for us now if we need advice, support or information.Headway's services are free and donations help keep it this way!
Funds generated from my swim are going towards the purchase of a new summerhouse, from which the Headway team can offer music and art therapy programmes and other much needed activities to improve the communication skills, life skills, confidence and self esteem of people whose lives have changed dramatically as a result of a brain injury
As a result of your sponsorship, you have enabled me to exceed my target - at this rate I may even be able to purchase furniture for the summerhouse!
