My name is Mark Holroyd and I am currently in training to take part in the 2nd stage of my 2 part charity fundraising effort for the great charity - Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Having raised nearly £1500 running the Great North Run in September 2009 I am now into training for my next challenge - the Virgin London Marathon 2010 which takes place on Sunday, 25th April.

In the 50th anniversary year for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research I am training to take part in my first ever marathon and yes, in my 50th year also. Not only will this allow me to raise more money for this great cause but will give me the opportunity to fulfil a lifetime ambition - to run a marathon before I reach 50!

So, please dig deep to donate as much money as you can to help me get to my target of £3000 - I'm working on the basis if I can raise £1500 for a half marathon then its got to be worth at least double for the full marathon distance and many thanks to everybody who has supported me so far.
