Fundraising for Leukaemia UK
Story
Hello everyone!
Firstly thank you to everyone that sponsored me last year! With your help I smashed my 3 grand target. I want to try and beat it again. This will be my 2nd trip to the mighty alps on two wheels! I am determined to be fitter this year and not CRASH of the cliff!
Despite this ride being amazing it is incredibly tough going, relentless, physically and emotionally knackering. We will be climbing about 90,000ft in total over 1000km, in 8 days. We will climb about 19 mountains and eat more carbs than most of you do all year! hehe. There is a nasty by product to all those carbs too (best to stay at the front of the ride).
Most importantly all the money goes straight to the people who need it that are suffering with Leukaemia and to date the ride has raised over £700,000. I have been to the Catherine Lewis centre in Hammersmith my self and seen part of what the money so far has paid for.
