Story
In February 2010, Lawrence Dallaglio and a few other madmen will be cycling 2800 kms over 24 days from Rome to Murrayfield (taking in Paris, Twickenham, Cardiff and Dublin along the way) to raise money for Sport Relief and the recently established Dallaglio Foundation (which in turn will support Cancer Research, DebRA, Help for Heroes, the PRA Benevolent Fund and Leukemia Research - for more information on all of these great causes go to http://www.dallagliofoundation.com.
After a recent long lunch (!), I foolishly agreed to cycle the first leg, from Rome to Nice which is 660kms (410 miles) over 5 days (you just don't say no to someone as big as Lawrence). Coinciding as it does with the RBS Six Nations, the BBC has agreed to feature the Dallaglio Slam from start to finish - so as well as donating to charity, you may also get the added comedy bonus of seeing me on television trying to struggle up a large hill on a bicycle...............
JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. So please dig deep and donate now - or I will send you more pictures of me in lycra cycling gear....................
Thanks a million (which is, incidentally, how much we're trying to raise).
