Friends, family and all.

Having completed the Inca Trail and reached Machu Picchu in one piece, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has put something towards my trek. Whether that be in the form of a donation, lending me kit, moral support, motivation and encouragement I appreciate it all.

I can truly say that I have been to one of the modern wonders of the world - the hard way. The Inca trail is one of the most famous and beautiful treks in the World.  It has amazing mountain scenery, lush cloud-forest, snow topped mountains and subtropical jungle. Most of it seemingly uphill!!

The trek took us 4 days of solid walking to complete and when I say that I earned every penny of your donation, I really mean it.  

I'm pleased to say that I managed to dodge the altitude sickness and tummy upsets that so many of my fellow trekkers had, despite reaching heights of over 4200m and drinking mountain stream water.

I can now say that I have completed my challenge of a lifetime and at the same time raised loads of money for a really good cause - Children's Hospices UK.

Thank you to all who have already given, whatever the amount. If you haven't donated already, please do so. All the money goes to children who need at home care, many of whom are in their final days and won't get a chance to do what I have done.
