Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many Thanks for all of your sponsorship it is very much appreciated. You have all helped me raise a really significant amount for The Lily Foundation which has made it all worthwhile. This page will remain for 3 months after the run finishes so please pass the word around to anyone who may know me & would be impressed that I managed to drag myself around a half marathon (mostly uphill !!) course.

I completed the Great North Run in 2 hours, 19 minutes & 46 seconds. I was on time for my 2:15 target at 10 miles but my left ankle hampered me and the last 3 miles were a bit of a struggle.

My mates all completed as well and we celebrated on Sunday evening with a big steak and a few beers.

This charity is set up for the research into Mitochondrial Disease and other metobolic disorders. Like me, Lily was from the Croydon area. As I recently became a father for the first time, I was especially moved by Lily's story so wanted to run this event for her charity.
