Services include a confidential Helpline 0808 801 0808 access to free counselling and legal advice, financial assistance and retirement accommodation in London, Derby, Glasgow and Liverpool.

My story

Usain Bolt is a very fast man…..
Anyone who can run down Deansgate faster than my wife during Sale period deserves some accolades. Personally I found the head wind a little too strong to be attempting a personal best, so my finishing time of just under 57 minutes for the Great Manchester 10k Run was perfectly respectable and concludes my athletic and fund raising efforts for this year.
According to my Nike Plus gadget I have run over 250 miles this year at an average pace of about 10 minutes per mile. My running shoes are consigned to the bin, our dog is a lot fitter, I have lost at least one waist size and I feel great. Oh, and I have no need for the pleasure of Crushers' company every Monday! Time now to return to golf, tennis and a few scoops every now and again! Alistair (our CEO) has promised not to ask me to do this again - funny I don't remember being asked!
On the fund raising side the web site currently sits at just over £8k. Together with off site cheques I am about £200 short of my £10k target. So one final huge thank you to all who have supported me. If you have yet to make a donation I will keep the web site open until our Charity Gold Day on 23rd June.
