Story

3 HOURS, 51 MINUTES AND 33 SECONDS!

This is what it took to complete the New York Marathon on Sunday 2nd November 2008.

Thanks to all who've sponsored me to get me over my target, however if you've not yet sponsored me there is until February 2009 to do so.

There were 24 runners and around 15 supporters from the Southend area, and (mostly Old Southendians FC) fly to New York City to take part in the New York Marathon for Great Ormond Street following Mark Dickinson's son's stay in Great Ormond Street back in 1999. Between the 24 of us we hope to raise £60,000 for this immensely good cause, but will need your help with this. We are all closing in on our targets, but I just need those extra few shows on generosity to make sure we hit this target! Any amount small or large would be greatly appreciated; we know it’s a difficult time at the moment.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) gets your money faster and, if you’r1 a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. Please sponsor me now!

Thanks so much!

Matt
