We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

My daughter Amelie-Mae was unfortunately born with a congenital cataract. She had her first operation to remove the cataract at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) when she was 3 months old and has had a further 3 operations since. She is now 6 years old and visits GOSH every 2-4 months for a check up.

Although there are obviously many ill children at GOSH, everytime we visit, it is a very inspirational, emotional and positive experience. I always come away thinking 'how lucky we are'.

GOSH need over £50 million every year in charitable donations, to keep helping and treating the ill children. I hope by doing my tiny bit (hopefully 2 hours of pain!) it will go towards the huge amount of money they need to raise.

About the charity

We fundraise to enhance Great Ormond Street Hospital’s ability to transform the health and wellbeing of children and young people. Donations help to fund advanced medical equipment, child and family support services, pioneering research and rebuilding and refurbishment.
