Me, a chubby lad who has a bad relationship with food and drink will be running the London Marathon in aid of Ashgate Hospice. A hospice based in Chesterfield who specialise in offering a range of care packages to patients who have incurable life limiting illnesses within the hospice or within the home environment. They provide nurses specially trained in end of life care and also extend support to family and friends of patients. They only receive a small amount from the NHS and rely on donations to provide a FREE service.

I have a friend currently using their services and have also seen the work Ashgate Hospice and other Hospices do in a professional manner and they really are a special place, full of love and light, not gloomy and depressing. Every member of staff treating patients and their families with the highest levels of care, always going the extra mile. I want to help this safe, loving and supportive haven for so many have the funds to keep up the amazing work they do.
