| Our personal message: |
In celebration of our dear friend/brother Tom Merry, aka Tanker/Mezza, his friends and siblings honoured his memory by climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales - The 3 Peaks Challenge. With Tom being Tom, we were not left with much that hadn't been achieved. Being the social glue of the group we feel that it was fitting to do something as a collective and in the great outdoors - two things that were very dear to Tom. Climbing the 3 peaks is a grueling 24 hour challenge that tested all 14 of us (some more than others!). We undertook it on Friday 20th June 2008 and are relying upon you all to help us achieve our fundraising target. One of the charities close to Tom's heart was The National Trust and all money raised will be donated to this cause. We completed the challenge in 22.5 hours which was a fantastic achievement and one which we, and no doubt Tom, were proud of. Many thanks for your support.
