Story
15 intrepid volunteers from Experian will be spending the 15/16th October clearing and fencing the garden of a 9 year-old boy from Hackney named Mert, who has has Ataxia Telangiectasia*, so he can play outside without fear of attack from the neighbours sizeable German Shepard.
We need your help to help provide the tools and materials for this project, including a skip, fencing and tool hire. Both the WellChild charity and the Experian Community team have provided some funds but we need more to make the project a real success.
Rumour has it there is some type of Credit Crunch going on so we are just asking for £5 from 100 people at Cardinal Place (although feel free to contribute more as this will obvously help us achieve our goal quicker, and create a better garden for Mert).
If you want to know more about what Experian are doing in the community please contact Rob Larisch or visit http://intranet/company/community.aspx; and if you want to sign up for future volunteer opportunities in London please contact Dominic King.
*Ataxia Telangiectasia is a degenerative condition, a primary immunodeficiency disease, affecting balance, hand-eye coordination, mobility, speech and daily living skills.
