Story

Hello All,

I am organizing a ‘NON CLUB’ charity Drive in aid of the 'Help 4 Heroes' on Sunday 19th September 2010. With the aim of only having 24 MG’s entry fee of £5 per car which goes to H4H, “The Challenge” is to achieve a minimum of £500 an average of only £21 sponsorship each to raise on or before the 19th, all payments to be made via the 'Help 4 Heroes' just giving site, http://www.justgiving.com/mgf-tf

This would have 1 main start point at Hastings, and a further pick up at Faversham, for those that can not make the Hastings start. You can see all updated information on MG-Rover.org, and go to the MGF/MGTF forum.

Route: Hastings passing through Tenterden, Faversham, Margate, Ramsgate, Sandwich, Deal*, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe, New Romney, Lydd, Rye, Winchelsea. and back to Hastings.

I have arranged a fixed choice menu at *The Coach & Horses just outside Deal, this will be a 2 course lunch, and we would have to arrive between 12 noon and 12.30, ALL bookings to be made direct and paid for in advance with Mike & Penny Barnes on 01304 617063. It is very important that we all take up this offer, other wise it will affect the prices.

‎All I ask is that no one take a political point of view; we are going to help all the armed forces personnel that have to live the rest of their lives with terrible injuries, some as young as 18years old. To quote from the Help 4 Heroes web site:

"It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, and it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes;

Very many thanks for taking the time to read this flyer, and hope you can either make the event, or just make a donation.

Kind regards
