Mike  and Gene are attempting (!)  a 2 mile out doors swim in Lake Windermere.

Our mission is two fold, firstly to raise awareness of Alzheimer's and how it affects peoples lives and the ripple effect is has on their families, and secondly, to raise as much money as we  can for the Alzheimer's society and the wonderful work it does.

We are  doing this swim for my 85 yr old mother Mary who suffers from Alzheimer's, also her sister who suffers from the same illness, my Auntie Nellie and each of her family.

Any donation, however small will be very much appreciated.
