The Ironman UK Triathlon

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I will shortly be competing in the Ironman triathlon at Sherborne, Dorset. The race consists of a gruelling 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile cycle followed by a 26.2 mile run - all non-stop within 17 hours!

On behalf of Rotary I am hoping to raise as much sponsorship as possible for various charities including the Leukaemia Research Fund, the Children's Hospice Association, Air Ambulance, and Macmillan Cancer Relief. Update:

11th August: Training is going ok - just completed a half marathon in 2 hrs and a 110 mile bike in 7.5 hrs w/c 4th August.  I have invested in an aerobar for my converted touring bike and am feeling the aerodynamic benefits of zipping through the wind. Only 4 weeks to go until the event: 2 more weeks of hard training to go before I start to taper off the training 2 weeks before the event.  Hoping the weather improves by the day of the event!
