We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thank you for visiting this page.

On Friday, 12th September 2008 I will be playing in two Twenty/20 cricket matches at Burton Court in Chelsea in aid of Cancer Research UK.  I don't need to go into great detail about how this terrible disease affects so many people's lives but the figures are truly shocking; someone is diagnosed with cancer in the UK every two minutes and more than 1 in 3 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime.  This charity is leading the fight against the disease, saving lives through its research by helping doctors to diagnose cancer earlier and providing more effective treatments. Many of us will have a friend or relative who is fighting, has fought or will fight the disease.  Please donate generously and help Cancer Research UK continue its crucial work.

It is our aim to raise in excess of £10,000 before and during the day and I would be very grateful if you would support this very worthwhile cause.  I do realise that times are hard and that requests for sponsorship are numerous however, anything - however small - would help.  I am just one of twenty two who are raising money.  We have already reached £7,000 so I'm a little behind the others!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
