Story
Unfortunately I have had to pull out of running the London Marathon 2010 through injury. However I am determined to raise money for LAM Action and to celebrate the life of my friend Melissa who lost her battle to LAM at the end of 2008. I have decided to organise a charity gig - Band N Boogie Bonanza - and also take on a massive cycle ride to get some money for what is a little known condition. This will take place on Friday 9th July from 7:30pm. Tickets are available by contacting me but if you can't come, please give as much as you can to support this.
My brother-in-law, Darren Childs, will still be running the London Marathon and I will be supporting him every step of the way.
For more information about the Band night, please contact me and I will let you know how you can get tickets.
LAM (short for Lymphangioleiomyomatosis) is a rare disorder which affects women only, and is generally diagnosed in women of childbearing age. The condition mainly affects the lungs, where it causes excessive growth of smooth muscle tissue which progressively erodes lung function. LAM is a rare lung disease that only occurs in women. It affects just over one person in a million and we are aware of 120 women in the United Kingdom who have LAM. It appears to occur world-wide and is equally rare in other countries.

I hope that you can give as much as you can, even £1 will help :)
