Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.  As some of you know, I have been closely affected by Neurofibromatosis (NF1) and rather than sitting around feeling helpless I decided to do a run and somehow ended up doing a half-marathon, which is a bit scary for someone who has never been able to run!  But now that I've started running (or should I say jogging!) I'm quite enjoying it!

NF1 is a genetic disorder which has varying degrees of severity but the severity can not be predicted, so you have to go through life on a "wait and see" basis.  Complications mainly relate to tumours but also include learning difficulties and speech problems. The charity NfA not only supports research into Nf but also provides valuable support to patients and their families.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: NfA will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
