Story
Earlier this year I was on assignment with the Leicester Mercury newspaper taking pictures of a fundraiser for The Laura Centre. Founder, Gail Moore, casually asked me if I would like to do something for the charity myself. "Sure. What would you like me to do?" I asked. "Jump out of a plane" came the reply. I looked nervous and agreed. But secretly it was something I've been wanting to do for ages.
I am so glad I said yes. It was the most amazing experience of my life. And one I must urge you to try. To have that much fun and raise money for such a good cause. What a day to remember.
Thank you to everyone who has donated offline. To my family and friends, colleagues at the Leicester Mercury, Robbie and the Argos truckers and members of Ullesthorpe Golf Club.
If you would like to support The Laura Centre, Gail and her team would be very grateful. Donate today and my scary skydive will have been worth every second.
Many thanks, Mike.
