Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I was ' lucky' enough to run the London Marathon this year as a first timer.

I completed the course in 4hrs 57mins 57 seconds and I am well chuffed to beat my target time of 5 hrs

The picture is of me not long after finishing, thats why I look a bit rough!!

I have chosen Alder Hey's Imagine Appeal, as I spent the majority of my infancy and early childhood being treated there after a lifesaving operation (for oesophogus atresia - oesophogus not attached to my stomach) shortly after birth.  If I had not had this op and the subsequent treatment I received there, I would not be alive today (sorry to be so dramatic but it is true!!!). 

Only last year I had cause to be grateful to Alder Hey again as my 13 yr old son partially severed a tendon in his finger and required micro surgery to repair it.  Thanks to the excellent skills of the surgeon and staff at Alder Hey he now has full use of this finger once again.

Clearly for me there was no other choice of charity to raise funds for.
