We help the hospital to transform the lives of children

Story

At M-I SWACO, we believe that being a responsible corporate citizen means being a conscientious and responsive member of the many communities in which we operate.

M-I SWACO participates year-round in corporate social responsibility activities that benefit many non-profit organizations and foundations, that include remodeling schools, providing supplies and equipment in some of the world’s poorest regions, constructing teaching laboratories and nature walks, helping communities rebuild after natural disasters, and teach environmental programs to the children of our communities, M-I SWACO people live and practice that philosophy every day.

Our global, corporate social responsibility program falls under the auspices of our ONE WORLD also known as MUNDO INTEGRAL*, which loosely translates to “integrated world.” As the flagship and coordinator for all M-I SWACO corporate giving and community-outreach programs worldwide, ONE WORLD strengthens our commitment to give back to the many locales where we operate. The program acts as an umbrella over a variety of sponsored activities, primarily involving children, cultural exchange and improving living conditions for local residents.

This year we have a new exciting opportunity to participate in the British Gas Energy Challenge UK. A team from M-I SWACO will be cycling, running, canoeing, problem solving, networking, communicating and team building as part of the fund-raising challenge. The event will take place in Aviemore, Scotland from 8-10 July 2010.  The team, called "LETS' JUST DO IT", is already training very hard! We will be very grateful for the support from the M-I SWACO employees that want to sponsor the team by donating to Sparks - an independent charity whose aim is to fund high quality medical research into childhood diseases.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please go out into the deepwater and and donate now.
