Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
25 years ago 7 mates; Matt Sweeney, Christopher Legg, Paul Wright, Sean Francey, Keith Hendry, Brendan Knott and Andy Gray got together to have a laugh at Christmas time and shave their heads, leaving a spectacular array of Mohicans. They decided to make the occasion a fundraiser for Great Ormand street with the local press covering the event. A fantastic photo appeared in the paper and several hundred pounds was raised.
A nostalgic moment a few weeks ago looking at the photo prompted a conversation about reprising this event to celebrate the passing of time and the fact they are all still alive ..... that a few of the blokes now have much less hair is not considered a problem!! Only one of the original 7 is unavailable and he is being replaced by George, Matt's son. George was diagnosed with Crohns disease in May of this year so money is being raised for the Crohns and Colitis association. A few others are joining the Mohican crew, if only to ensure thaere is actually enough hair to be cut!!
Justine cut the hair all those years ago and she is also back to do it again. She is now married to Sean after they found each other again after all these years apart.
The haircuts will take place at the Tamar Inn in Calstock at 3.30pm on 8th December 2012.
Local press will be there and there will be some live music in the evening when the boys will be strutting their stuff.
