The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

A Guide Dog called 'Moira'

We are pleased you have come to this 'Just Giving' page. We are raising money in memory of Moira Wing who sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in January of this year.

Moira was a truly selfless, kind and caring wife, mum,  sister,  friend and foster mum to many children. We are wishing to continue her work of raising funds to ensure as many people as possible can have the benefit of a guide dog. In particular we want to raise £5,000 to give a guide dog Moira's name.

Following on the generous donations of £1,700 given in the collection at her funeral we now have a target of £3 300.  We are very grateful to Herald Newspapers who kindly made a £500 donation.

Pat, Abbie and Laura Wing, Mike, Christopher, Jonny and Richard Hough and Graeme Rutherford SUCCESFULLY COMPLETED THE RUN ON THE 3RD OCTOBER 2010.

We ask for generous support to continue Moira's commitment to the Guide Dog organisation
. Large and small contributions will be welcome, with of course some encouraging words for the runners!
