Story

100 NOT OUT!
--------------

Three days of perfect weather and no punctures meant my 15 hours of cycling along the 100 miles of the South Downs Way was as enjoyable as it was hard work!

It felt an aptly named finish when I arrived at Paradise Hill in Eastbourne yesterday afternoon and my journey was finally over!

----------------------------------------- Thank you for visiting my fundraising page in aid of The Haemophilia Society. Event ------ Over the course of three days this summer (Friday 10th to Sunday 12th June) I will be cycling 'The South Downs Way' in aid of The Haemophilia Society. That's 100 miles along the chalk escarpment and ridges between Winchester in Hampshire and Eastbourne in East Sussex. It's not an easy ride comprising 9,000 feet of climbing and possibly the equivalent of running a marathon on each of the 3 days! Helping me through the journey will be my good friends Ben Copithorne (Sat & Sun) and Andrew Bushnell (Sat). For more detail on the route please visit the official web site: http://www.nationaltrails.gov.uk/southdownsframeset.htm Haemophilia ----------- Haemophilia is a blood condition in which an essential clotting factor is either partly or completely missing. This causes a person with haemophilia to bleed for longer than normal and the main problem with this is internal bleeding into joints, muscles and soft tissues: if left untreated these bleeds cause acute pain and severe joint damage leading to disability. http://www.Haemophilia.org.uk Giving ------ Please dig deep and sponsor me online. The Haemophilia Society receives nowhere near the levels of publicity and corresponding donations of the more 'popular' charities so every pound you donate is that much more valuable to those affected and means that much more. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Haemophilia Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. http://www.BloodSweatAndTyres.co.uk
