This will be my 5th year of taking part in the CLIC 24 hour charity team mountain bike race. This years teams (we will be entering 2 x 4) will include members of my local  club - Yogi Cycling - http://yogi.terapad.com/

CLIC Sargent is the UKs leading childrens cancer charity and provides invaluable support to kids dealing with a wide range of cancers and tumours. I started doing this race simply because I love cycling, then in 2006 I was diagnosed with renal cancer and that made me even more determined to raise money for children who have had their young lives blighted by cancer.

Last year I was more determined than ever as my daughter, Sasha, was diagnosed and treated for a brain tumour. CLIC Sargent nurses were an integral part of the support that both Sasha and our family received. I never thought I would be calling on the services of the charity I''d been rasing money for!

Unfortunately this year there is yet another reason for me to ride and raise as much money as possible - the organaiser of the event, Neil Wilkins, lost his wife to breast cancer late last year. Neil is going all out to raise as much money as possible and I want to do everything I can to help.
