Story

Welcome to our Mountain Hares fundraising page.

Mountain Hares are largely adapted to mountainous and polar habitats. Feeding primarily on twigs and grass they are known for their agile and swift demeanour when ascending and decending the greatest mountains of Britain...

On the 6th June 2009 eight such Mountain Hares (James Houston, Gethin Hodges, Claire Evans, Jim Mulhall, Mike Waters, Shahmime Guul, Tariq Tabiner & Eve Cooper) will be attempting the three peaks challenge raising money for Health Unlimited.

The challenge involves climbing the 3 highest peaks in Wales (Snowdon), England (Scafell Pike) and Scotland (Ben Nevis) within just 24 hours.

However the real challenge is to raise as much as possible for the charity Health Unlimited, who work in some of the poorest communities in the world, to give people a right to health, something we take for granted. And this is where we need your help...

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Health Unlimited gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So help hasten the hares and ensure we complete the challenge by helping us to achieve our fundraising target!

Thanks for your generous support!
