"The HPM is a test of competitors fitness, endurance and navigational skill to their limit." The route is at least 40 miles long (if we go the right way) and for much of its distance the terrain is pathless peat bog. The dark, lack of sleep and winter weather add to the challenge. It has snowed in 4 of the last 10 events. We leave Edale Village Hall on Friday 7th March at 11pm and visit 20 checkpoints before returning back to the hall in one piece and feeling strong!
