Story

On 4th July 2019 our mum Saroj Shah passed away peacefully after a two year challenge with cancer. Close to the time of her final weeks, one of us would stay over beside her overnight to keep her company and reassure her. It would have been so much easier for us, and less worry for mum if we'd had proper beds to sleep in.

These 'Glideaway' beds roll out / unfold and turn into proper beds, allowing family members of dying loved ones to sleep beside them, and give the support that is essential in those last days.

Mount Vernon Cancer Centre needs 5 of these at a total cost of £3565 for all five.

We would love to be able to provide all of these for the families of Ward 10 and Ward 11 of the Cancer Centre to use at the most important time for them. They would have been a godsend for us. Mount Vernon no longer has a hospice attached meaning patient will spend their last days on these wards (Ward 10 is male, Ward 11 is female)

Please give generously as every penny goes towards these beds.

* And don't forget to add Gift Aid :-) This will add 25% to your donation at no extra cost to you *
