Story
Hello,
It was a lot easier writing about our fund raising projects when it was in honour of my lovely Dads brave fight against cancer. But I am so sad to say that this is all to be in memory of him now.
The treatment and care given by those at the Hallamshire, Ashgate Hospice, District & Macmillan Nurses, etc. was simply brilliant and we can never thank everyone enough for giving us the extra 4 years together.
A lot of you already know that I pledged to raise a ridiculous amount in honour of my one-in-a-million Dad, so every little helps! (approx £56,000 raised so far)
There is already a justgiving site with donations going directly to Cancer Research UK (MyBraveDad), currently at just under £1,000 :-)
Challenge number 2... Woofs & Wellies 2011
Almost a year to the day that I lost my lovely Dad, my friend Sarah and I will be walking 4.5 miles round Linacre Reservoir with our four legged buddy Max. Anything you would like to donate to Ashgate Hospice would be very welcome. Thank you so much. x
Update #1
Thank you so much for sponsoring my effort in the Midnight Walk! You helped me to raise £300!!!
My first big challenge... The Midsummer Midnight Walk 2010
As a painfully apt tribute, this years walk just happens to take place on Father's Day too. Please get the donations and tissues ready!
My Dad loved the thought of me being able to complete the 13 miles, and I intend to do him proud and do it well. After 2 years of physio and acupuncture, I walked my first full mile again in January (currently my training is up to 5.5 miles).
Please sponsor me, I simply can't describe the difference that Ashgate Hospice makes to the lives of those in their care and their families. They need (and deserve) every penny raised!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I really appreciate the support.
Angie xx
