Story
That's right kids, I'm back on it, pedalling for charity. I'm half way through my training and my bum is already sore, my fingers are permanently stained with oil and I'm sick of getting lost on long cycles rides (and short ones too in fact!). So why, why on earth am I doing this!?
Because working within the in memory fundraising team at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, I am lucky enough work with some of the most bravest, positive and inspiring people I have ever met. Hearing their stories and determination touch me everyday, and pedalling 100 miles is nothing in comparison to the struggle they have been through by losing a child. This is the least I can do to show them that not only am I here to support them, but that I stand with them to make sure that every child, parent and family that comes through the hospital's doors has the best care in the world.
I know that every penny donated to this very special charity will help thousands of lives, and when I visit Great Ormond Street Hospital, it only takes a second to realise how incredible a place it is...and I know it can be even better.
This challenge is also my thank you to every fundraiser I have worked with at the charity, for reminding me every day that with every dark cloud there's a silver lining, and that every day is a gift and to live it!!
All I ask is for a kind donation, whatever you can give, to give hope to every sick child and their families that comes to GOSH. Thank you.
