Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page !
As you will know I am running this years Flora London marathon for Bowel Cancer UK....yes you read that right me !
Last year a dear friend of mine - Tamar Bailey was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer she was just 26 and urgently needed vital funds for the drug Avastin which she was told could save her life.
I visited her in hospital in May and told her i would run the marathon this year to raise money for her campaign.
Sadly Tamar passed away in June but i have kept my promise to her and am running in her memory.
Bowel Cancer is the 2nd biggest killer in the UK and most importantly the most treatable form of cancer if caught early. The money i raise will go towards the Tamar Bailey trust fund at Bowel Cancer UK which will be used to help other young people like Tamar.
Most of you won't be suprised to read that i hadn't anticipated just how far 26 miles was (until i got in my car and drove to Bluewater!) but am determined to do this for her and such a worthy cause.
I know that lots of you are already coming to watch me but for those of you that fancy popping upto London on Sunday April 22nd for some light enterainment or to come and cheer me on it would be great to see you -find yourselves a nice pub and wait for me to run past !
Thanks so much for sponsoring me - every penny counts and thanks to you all for the words off encourgement and support that you have given me over the previous months....it really does mean alot.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bowel Cancer UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please feel free to forward this on to family, friends and work colleagues...the more the merrier !! .
Love Nat xx
