Story

MASSIVE, MASSIVE THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SPONSORED ME ONLINE AND OFFLINE.

To those who are still thinking about it - please do!

Yesterday (Sunday 13th Sept). Myself and friend Marc took part in the Great North Swim at Lake Windermere. An open water swim of 1 mile. It was pretty cold, but we still managed to beat our target time, both coming in around 45 minutes - which we were pretty chuffed about.

I've opted to donate all my sponsor money to Guide Dogs For The Blind. A worthwhile cause I hope you agree.

We met up with the charity afterward the swim who were eternally grateful for the money we had raised (and still are raising). They told us how it will be spent and how it will benefit people with partial or no sight.

IF YOU HAVEN'T DONATED, HERE'S HOW TO.....

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

PS. If you decide you don't want to donate online, but still want to sponsor me, please get in touch by email - neildjones@gmail.com or neil@mantradesign.co.uk

Thanks to Nigel Taggart at the Bolton News for supplying the photograph of Neil, Marc and Walter the guide dog.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
