Story
Two marathons in, this is my attempt to conquer London in something sub 4:00.
I ran London in the heat of 2007 and took 5:24:12 to get round. For about 24 hours I intended never to run again but somehow found myself strangely drawn back with the result that I ran the Edinburgh marathon in 2008 in 3:59:22. I was very glad to have changed my mind.
So this year I want to settle my grudge with the London marathon and see if I can match, or beat, that Edinburgh time on April 26th.
I have chosen to run to raise money for Dreams Come True as the work they do to make life that much better for children with serious or terminal illnesses is astounding. While the smiles they get are hugely rewarding the heart renching pain they deal with from the kids and their familes would make the job far too much for me. Have a look on their website to see some of the examples of the great work they do and then come back here to help them continue to be able to do it.
