Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In mid July I'm cycling, with 2 friends, from Whitehaven in the North West to Tynemouth, in the North East, a total of 187 miles....though this will be the 3rd Coast to Coast I've done and either down to some dubious signposting or the "wit" of some of the local "characters" they've always ended being 20-30 miles more!
This will be the longest C2C we've done and " you are constantly pedaling up and down with little respite" and "many riders regard the Reivers as the toughest route of all".....sounds like fun. This time we won't have anyone to support us so we're carrying all our own gear.
I'm doing all of this to once again to support Ashgate Hospice. Three years ago I raised £2222 for them and this time I'd like to beat that! Fidelity do a fantastic job in matching what I raise so I'd like to raise as much as possible.
I want to help Ashgate Hospice again for 2 reasons. My Grandad was going to go to the Hospice but sadly passed away shortly before. Close to my heart what they also do is often overlooked work and care in preparing the young children of the patients for the almost inevitable death of a parent or loved one. As you can imagine this takes special training of the nurse and appropriate surroundings too.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Ashgate Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I appreciate that you probably receive many requests for sponsorship but I hope you can help in whatever way you can.
