The New Horizons Appeal Events for 2011 beginning · 3 May 2011

We’re here for people requiring specialist end of life care in West Sussex and East Surrey, in our hospice or out in the community. Our care is only possible thanks to our local community who kindly donate and volunteer. Your incredible support means we can care for around 2,000 people every year.

Story

St Catherine’s Hospice is a local charity dedicated to providing specialised end of life care – and support to patient’s families, friends and carers. All the care they provide is free of charge and every year around £5million of voluntary income is required to fund their work.

The New Horizons Appeal was launched in late 1989 by BBC newsreader Martyn Lewis and BBC presenter Cliff Michelmore, to establish a day care centre; provide education & training facilities for healthcare professionals and establish a Foundation Fund to provide a solid and secure financial base for the Hospice. The goal is to raise as much capital as we can to provide a stable base for the Hospice.

Events organised by the Appeal include:

Annual May Garden and Local Produce Fair at Summers Place Billingshurst - next Fair date is 19 May 2011

Annual Autumn Gift Fair at Knepp Castle Shipley - next Fair dates are 21 & 22 September 2011

The Lunch Club 2011 event - 6 October South Lodge Experience Lunch

Charity Golfing Day at Slinfold Golf & Country Club. Now in its second year - 1 July 2011

If you are unable to attend any of our events you might like to consider a donation to this worthy cause. Please indicate which event you are supporting.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
