Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

This is the second year that the NFU Mutual have taken part in UNUM's Le J'og event. This year's run takes place over 15 days in early September and is a relay of over 1,000 miles from John O'Groats to Land's End (hence Le J'og).

NFU Mutual have undertaken to run one of the relay stages from Chew Stoke, Somerset to Crediton in Devon which totals over 81 miles on 11th September 2008.

The NFU Mutual Le Jog team once again pounded the roads of Britain and finished their 82 mile leg of the 1,000 mile route in top spot.

Team NFU Mutual completed their leg in 12 hours and 27 minutes - an average speed of 9 minutes 12 seconds per mile.

Team Manager Andrew Spriggs said, "Many thanks to all those people who sponsored team NFU Mutual via our Just Giving webpage and also a big thank you to everyone involved in the team. It was certainly a long day but the whole team did a great job. It was fun competing against three other teams on the day and although it wasn't a race, it was pleasing to finish ahead of the rest of the field!"

Last year the Le Jog event raised more than £40,000 for SeeAbility.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: SeeAbility will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.

About the charity

SeeAbility provides ambitious social care for people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss. We encourage them to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society - and they in turn challenge us all to think about what’s possible, and to rethink disability.
