Fundraising for The National Deaf Children's Society

Story

Dear Ladies and Gentleman,

I have decide to take on this challenge, Trek Patagonia for 11 days to raise £2,950 for NDCS charity.

I have a personal stake in this particular event. I have been profoundly deaf in both ears since birth. As a child, I benefited hugely from all the support NDCS provided to me and my family to ensure I adapted well into the community. I am doing this challenge to enable NDCS to continue their great work with deaf children so they can provide the necessary support each child deserves.

Here is information about the Patagonia.

Patagonia, Chile’s final frontier, provides some of the best scenery on the planet and some of the best trekking in the southern hemisphere. This is a superb trip for anyone with a sense of adventure and a love of the great outdoors.

We trek via glaciers and turquoise-blue lakes to the renowned granite towers of Torres del Paine National Park, the jewel ofPatagonia. The countryside is wild and rugged, and our route passes towering wind-carved cliffs and mountains, moorland, forests and rich grasslands. We cross ice-cold, pure mountain streams and camp in beautiful locations, continually watching out for the graceful condors that wheel in the skies far above us.

This exciting challenge allows us to discover Patagonia and the legendary Chilean hospitality, and makes time to explore the country’s capital, Santiago de Chile.

I am covering the costs of the challenge and all your monies will go towards NDCS.
