Howard and I are running The 2010 BUPA Great Manchester Run to raise money for Action Duchenne.

Our friend's little boy Edward  (pictured) has Muscular Dystrophy. Although Edward looks like a normal little boy his future is bleak. His muscles are wasting and as each year passes the less he will be able to function. He will need a wheelchair and will start to struggle with other things for example breathing, heart function and further mobility in the upper half of his body. He will be lucky to live into his twenties. Duchenne effects 1 in 3500 boys (and sometimes girls) in this country and is one of the most devastating diseaese's around.

Research is going on to find a cure for this disease but without funding this will not happen. Please please donate toady.
